This climat is on the western side of Pommard, near Volnay, and at the bottom of slope. Clay, but with layers of limestone underneath. Farmed organically. 100% whole bunch maceration for 15 days. Aged in used barrels for one year. No fining or filtration. Zero added SO2 as every element of it was perfect - great vintage, and it behaved extremely well throughout élevage.
Sweet spice, salt, dark roses, violets, red cherries and strawberries. Sniff deep, smells amazing. Dense, yet smooth palate with a creamy mouthfeel. Flavours of red berries and milk chocolate, seductive and sensual. A great mix of power, elegance and pretty aromas. Long in the mouth, with a nice slightly salty finish.
