2018 VDF 'Face'

This has such a beautiful savoury edge as soon as you smell it. Lifted woody herbs, black wild fruits, currants and cranberry. Very expressive, no sulfites for the win. It’s dark, but bright. So heavenly. In the mouth it’s fresh with a lifted texture. There are beautiful savoury notes, and its quite perfumed in the mouth too. Goes on and on. Damn, she’s talented. Nice tension, acidity, mid palate is fine but perfect, some hidden spice. Everything is so well balanced. The finish is so nice. Cherry fruit, savoury twist. Yum yum yum! Some exotic notes in there too. Unidentifiable expressions that keep you searching and coming back for more.
