Regular price $60 750ml Sale

This is AMI's fun wine. 45% Gamay, 25% Aligoté, 25% Pinot Noir and 5% Chardonnay. The Gamay was purchased from an organic grower in Beaujolais - old vines on clay and granite. The Aligoté, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay is from AMI's vineyards which are in their 2nd year of organic conversion. Based in the Vallée des Maranges, the soils are made up of clay and limestone. Zero SO2.

The nose on this is amazing, what a perfume! I don’t even know where to begin – but you can sense all the different varieties, and they are perfectly integrated. The whites balance the power of the reds, and lift it up. So expressive and quite floral. No so2 for the win! Boysenberries dominate as you navigate through mineral zones. This is very juicy with lots of energy. Yum! Made for early drinking, tastes great now. Light and fresh in the mouth, the whites elevate the flavour profile and lighten things up. Very floral and pretty, especially after air time. Gentle potpourri notes, with apple and strawberry flavours. It’s a no thinker drinker, but it has depth when you look at it. Nice tension and fine tannins, very good fine structure. Reminds me of an Aurelien Lefort wine we drank recently which is also a blend of red and white. Big yum factor here. Serve chilled!
